“Anne was definitely one of the most important parts of my life during those years. High school wasn’t easy, but sewing gave me the confidence I needed.”
Student — Aly Roberts:
“I would say Aly’s introduction to sewing gave her a creative outlet to express herself in a positive way. Accomplishing each piece gave her a great sense of pride. It was fun and disciplined at the same time—and to this day, she continues to design and sew her own dresses.”
Parent — Tracy Roberts:

I took Anne’s sewing classes in middle school, and they sparked a lifelong love of sewing. She taught me patience, confidence, and the joy of creating something with my own hands.
Now, at almost 30, I have my own sewing room and a volunteer project—Buddy’s Blankets, making baby blankets for adopted cats at a local rescue.
Anne’s classes didn’t just teach me to sew. They gave me a lifelong passion.
— Molly DuPont

Anne's weekly lessons were the perfect mix of structure and creativity, allowing me to express myself while learning the importance of organization.
As a student of the fantastic Anne Cardosa, I learned to be detail-oriented, manage my time efficiently, and use active listening techniques.
I also made fantastic friendships with other students. With Anne’s constant encouragement, Simply Sewing created an environment that always felt supportive and fostered creativity.
I even shared my Simply Sewing experience in many of my college applications — it’s a wonderful story to write about for successful college essays. 🥰🥰
